“Family Guy” mastermind (and perennial Comedy Central roastmaster) Seth MacFarlane is working on a brand-new animated series for an adults with a female lead. Guess who is voicing the show’s main character? Alex Borstein, who currently voices Lois Griffin.
“I think that the last female-centered animated show that I can remember was Daria,” said Borstein. “We’re kind of raring to go and just waiting to get the green light to start setting up and writing, so it’s very exciting!”
Gary Janetti, a former executive producer on “Will and Grace,” will produce the show alongside MacFarlane and Borstein. Like “Family Guy,” “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show,” the series is planned for Fox. Do you think you’ll tune in to this brand-new series?
