Now that her latest flick “Spring Breakers” has been released, Selena Gomez is ready to release new music. The actress turned singer will be releasing her new single “Come and Get It” just days before she performs at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.
Gomez told The Hollywood Reporter that her new album has many influences, including island and Spanish sounds, but mostly considers it “dance pop.”
“It’s kind of all over the place, but I’m really excited about it,” Gomez said. “It’s definitely the hardest I have ever worked on a record, that’s for sure. I wanted to have more creative control over the album’s direction.”
“Come and Get It” will be released on April 8. You can catch Gomez perform her new music at the MTV Movie Awards on April 14. There is currently no expected release date or title for her upcoming album, but Gomez is expected to embark on a promotional tour before the album’s release.
