In a new interview with USA Today, Scarlett Johansson offers a scathing review of her tabloid-shortened nickname “ScarJo” and discusses her latest movie, “We Bought a Zoo.” “Oh, it’s awful,” she said of ScarJo. “It’s a laziness. People can’t actually say the whole name? It’s just bizarre. If I hear somebody say that, I know I don’t know them at all.”
Johansson also dished on living life in the public eye. “The hardest part is actually going through whatever hardship you’re facing,” she said. “Going through it in public is the added unfortunate thing. There’s nothing you can do about that.”
Scarlett Johansson revealed that a coping mechanism she adopted this year was to avoid reading tabloids altogether, and to avoid responding to gossip-mag rumors unless they’re “violently awful.” Read the whole interview here.
