Move over, Angelina Jolie: Scarlett Johansson will be taking it from here. According to The Huffington Post, the actress is set to make a record-breaking $20 million to reprise her role as the Black Widow in the Marvel and Disney mega-hit “The Avengers.” Jolie had set the previous record for 2010′s critically panned “The Tourist,” costarring Johnny Depp.
In “The Avengers,” Johansson plays Natasha Romanoff, also known as the Black Widow. The first flick in the series has quickly become the third-biggest global box office moneymaker in history. Johansson’s paycheck for the sequel, while astronomical, is still only a drop in the bucket compared to the $1.355 billion dollars already earned worldwide.
