When Sylvester Stallone‘s 36-year-old son Sage Stallone was found dead on July 13, the actor had one request of the media: “When a parent loses a child there is no greater pain. Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son’s memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha. This agonizing loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the center of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son’s memory and soul left in peace.”
It turns out he was right. The speculation was senseless and unfair. Sage’s young life was cut short due to complications from heart disease. His death was not the result of a drug overdose or any illegal activities. In fact, the coroner has ruled the death as the result of natural causes. He died without any drugs in his system.
It can be of little comfort to Stallone, but at least now his son’s soul can rest in peace.
