“Good Morning America” anchor, Robin Roberts, will be releasing her memoir. Last year, Roberts was diagnosed with a rare blood and bone marrow condition and underwent a bone marrow transplant in September. The upcoming book will give readers insight into her experiences.
After undergoing surgery last year, Roberts returned to her post on “GMA” in February. Earlier this week, she as given a standing ovation at the Peabody Awards when ABC News won an award for a special aired about Roberts’ transplant titled “Robin’s Journey.”
The book will be published by Grand Central Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group.
“I have long admired Robin Roberts’s career and courage and am so honored to be publishing her book,” said Jamie Raab, president and publisher of Grand Central. “Her story is both dramatic and inspiring, and will capture the incredible spirit that has endeared her to all of us who have followed her remarkable career and life.”

Roberts’ untitled memoir will be released in April 2014.
