The new PETA postage stamps advocate for animal rights with the faces of 20 famous vegetarians, including Natalie Portman, Paul McCartney, Ellen DeGeneres, Morrissey, Woody Harrelson, Gandhi and Joan Jett.
“These are very influential people, and not everyone knows that these folks are vegetarian,” said Lisa Lange of PETA to the NY Daily News. “It’s just another way to be able to talk about what animals go through in slaughterhouses.”
The PETA postage stamps will feature a variety of celebrities with statements as to why each individual has chosen a meat-free diet. They will be available for sale at the PETA website through December.
