Ke$ha‘s vocal devotion to animal rights has not gone unnoticed: PETA has named the singer the most animal-friendly pop star of 2011. Ke$ha beat out Justin Bieber for the nod at the annual Libby Awards.
“Ke$ha is quick to act when sleazy behavior — like cruelly killing chickens or slaughtering seals — hurts animals,” said Marta Holmberg, who works with PETA’s youth division PETA2. “PETA2 is proud to have this animal on our team.”
Steve-O of “Jackass” fame was also recognized as the top animal-friendly celebrity. Way to go, you two!
