Penelope Cruz is the face of Campari liquor in a big way. The stunningly beautiful actress appears in a 2013 calendar for the brand titled “Kiss Superstition Goodbye.”
In the 12-month calendar, Cruz poses in every superstitiously incorrect way a person could imagine. She is walking under ladders, breaking mirrors and even summoning black cats. The best part is she looks absolutely magical while doing it.
The calendar and campaign are all to promote the Campari brand. Campari is an Italian liquor that has been around for more than 150 years. No wonder why they wanted to go with a unique theme for 2013. As photographer Kristian Schuller said of the shoot, “Photographing the 2013 Campari Calendar is simply incredible and a totally unique challenge. Campari has a history of creating powerful and visually-stunning imagery, both in its advertising campaigns and the Calendar. My intention was to continue this story of success by pushing the boundaries even further which I feel we have achieved. It is magnificent to work with someone as talented as Penelope, who truly embodied the theme for the latest edition of the Calendar by bringing her flair and versatility to the set.”
