Paul Adelstein is joining the season three cast of “Scandal.” The actor will be reuniting with “Private Practice” and “Grey’s Anatomy‘s” creator, writer and executive producer Shonda Rhimes, who also created “Scandal.”
The actor’s role is unclear, because it is being kept under wraps. However, it is known that he will have a recurring guest role on the show’s upcoming third season.
Adelstein wife also appeared on the series — Liza Weil played White House intern Amanda Tanner during “Scandal’s first season. It was also recently announced that Lisa Kudrow would be appearing on the show in a recurring role.
Adelstein is best known for his fan-favorite role as Copper on “Private Practice.” He more recently co-starred in a single-camera family sitcom pilot for CBS with Debra Messing.
“Scandal” returns to ABC on October 3.
