Pamela Anderson wants Turkey citizens to take control of the pet overpopulation issue they have. Following a trip to Istanbul, the PETA spokesmodel wrote the following message on her Facebook page:
On leaving Istanbul… I urge Turkey’s citizens to help put an end to the animal overpopulation crisis by spaying and neutering their dogs and cats. In Turkey, the streets are teeming with strays, and the few shelters are completely overcrowded. The only solution to this problem is to spay and neuter in order to prevent further unwanted animals. The number of cats and dogs far exceeds the number of loving homes available… Please consider how much suffering can be prevented with a simple surgical procedure.”
Anderson was in Istanbul to film a TV commercial for a Turkish chip brand. She also appeared as herself in a cameo role on the Turkish sitcom “Yalan Dunya.” That episode will air next week.
Do you think Pamela Anderson’s pet plea will fall on deaf ears?
