Oscar nominated screenwriter (“The Royal Tenenbaums”) and actor Owen Wilson will receive Variety’s “International Star of the Year” award at the Dubai International Film Festival in December.
Held from December 7 to 14, 2011, the festival will also conduct a Q&A style tribute to the actor, who is currently enjoying the limelight after the success of the Woody Allen film, “Midnight in Paris,” which itself looks likely to garner an Oscar nomination or two this coming season.
