Official Oscar chef Wolfgang Puck joined forces with his wife Gelila and the Dream for Future Africa Foundation (sponsored by Vertu cellphones) to host a pre-Oscars event at his Beverly Wilshire Hotel restaurant CUT.
Amongst the celebs in attendance were hip-hop producer Pharrell Williams; fashion designers Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier; record and film producer Quincy Jones; actresses Holly Robinson Peete, Shiva Rose and Azie Tesfai; actor Ken Davitian (from “Borat”) and singer Macy Gray.

We like the idea of celebrating Africa’s future with a delicious Beverly Hills steak. Sincerely, though, it’s good to see the Pucks focusing attention away from the glitz and glamor of Oscar week by drawing in celebs for a good cause.
