The “Once Upon a Time” spinoff, “Once: Wonderland,” has just cast its main character Alice. Australian actress Sophie Lowe will be taking on the role of Alice in the pilot inspired by “Alice in Wonderland.”
Lowe, who is best known for her role in Australian television series “The Slap,” will be playing an Alice that is slightly jaded. The character is being described as a young girl who has already lived a very long and hard life. She seems tough, but has a big heart underneath her hard exterior.
The show will also star Peter Gadiot, who will play Alice’s love interest Cyrus, and Michael Socha of UK’s “Being Human” will play Knave of Hearts. “Once: Wonderland” still has yet to announce casting for Amahl and the White Rabbit.
“Once: Wonderland” will be shooting a teaser presentation in April and is scheduled to shoot the pilot this summer.
