Noomi RapaceNoomi Rapace, who’s set to star in Ridley Scott‘s “Prometheus,” has a feature in the New York Times Magazine that sheds some light on her made-up last name, perceptions of fame and her family.

For starters, she and her husband Ola Norell adopted the last name “Rapace” when they got married; the moniker translates to “bird of prey” in French. Rapace said of the choice, “I always had a very strong thing with those birds and the concentration they had.”

The actress also revealed that she doesn’t want to become a Hollywood sensation, saying, “I’m terrified of being too famous. What I’m really afraid of is that the audiences will go into the theater and not be able to forget that it’s me, that fame will stand in the way of my acting. I want to keep being able to change into different shapes and different personalities.” Check out another image of Noomi Rapace from the NYT Mag feature below.
