Nicole Richie was named the Influencer of the Year at the Accessories Council Excellence Awards last night for her House of Harlow 1960 and Winter Kate collections.
The reformed wild child spoke candidly with WWD about how even motherhood hasn’t tamed her personal style, saying, “I’m still wearing 5-inch heels and my fashion hasn’t really changed at all.”
Nicole Richie also demonstrated her keen business savvy when discussing how she defines the success of her various fashion lines:
“To me, success isn’t measured by dollar signs. It’s really about paying attention to feedback and talking to my customer, and I’m able to do that with the various appearances I do — and also through Twitter and Facebook. I’m really able to get some honest feedback from my customer, and I really try and focus on them and create what they’re expecting of me.”
Other famous attendees at the ACE Awards included Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha, Christian Louboutin and Diane von Furstenberg.
