When was the last time you gave a passing thought to Naomi Campbell? That time that she threw a phone at someone? Or that other time she threw a phone at someone? Or when Russell Crowe threw a phone at someone did you stop and think of her? See, the problem with Naomi Campbell is that she takes out her aggression on the un-famous. We don't really care about her scratching her personal assistant's corneas with a diamond ring or stuffing dirty gym socks down her throat because we just can't visualize it. We like our Naomi Campbell assault victims to have a face. Like Nicole Richie.
So Naomi Campbell and Nicole Richie are old friends. Who knew, right? Isn't Naomi, like, old enough to be Nicole's great-grandmother or something? At least in Hollywood years? Well, they're like total BFF, at least they were until Nicole was brazen enough to disobey Naomi's orders. Bad Nicole. You must always heed your elders. Nicole and Naomi were both at Bungalow 8 on a recent evening, along with Nicky Hilton. Naomi hates Nicky and forbid Nicole from spending any time with the lesser Hilton. Nicole disobeyed, and Naomi lost her shit, although no phone throwing seemed to be involved. An eyewitness said, "Naomi started screaming at her publicist, 'That fucking bitch Nicole Richie, I hate her!' . . . Nicole was sitting 3 feet away, and Naomi was just screaming over her head. Nicole clearly heard, but was ignoring it." Naomi's flack denied the report, but Richie's rep said that Naomi was screaming at someone, although she denied that it was Nicole. None of this matters, as we always choose to believe an anonymous source over a paid mouthpiece. We're just trusting like that. What matters is what this behavior may lead to in Naomi's future. Now that she's stepped up her level of berated friend from some chick named Yvonne SciÚ to Nicole Richie, can full-on public naked mud wrestling bouts with Lindsay Lohan be far behind?
