Nicki Minaj reinforced her eccentric style aesthetic in the latest issue of Paper Magazine. The “Stupid Hoe” singer sat with Simon Doonan for an accompanying interview in which she discussed her influences, her favorite trash TV and her upcoming album, “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.”
Minaj says that her biggest style icons are Grace Jones, Cyndi Lauper, Janet Jackson and Boy George. And when she’s in the mood for trash TV, she prefers “Mob Wives,” “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
Nicki Minaj also said that her new album, which drops in April, is “like a collage of all my emotions.” She continued, “I am not sticking to any particular style. I am doing what I feel without restrictions. So it’s very free and very me.”
