For all of you who don’t have moms who watch The Young and the Restless, Eric Braeden is the moustachioed actor who has played cosmetics mogul Victor Newman for the past hundred and twelve years. He rescued one of his wives from a carjacker, married a blind lady, romanced his daughter’s friend, had a houseboy named Miguel to do his bidding, and gets shot. And on top of all that, he retains a vague and indeterminate pan-European accent despite living in America for over fifty years. Victor is a bit of a snake, and apparently, it’s not much of a stretch since Braeden himself is reportedly a real coozebag. Or so says Neil Patrick Harris of How I Met Your Mother. Braeden bailed on a cameo on the show and NPH fired back on Twitter. Doogie Howser, Twitter, and a soap opera. The only way this could get nerdier would be if Joss Whedon showed up at a Magic the Gathering tournament dressed in Harvest Moon cosplay.
