‘N Sync hit the stage at the MTV VMAs at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn last night to help Justin Timberlake celebrate receiving the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The performance marked the boy band’s first televised appearance together in ten years.
Timberlake began his near 20-minute performance with his latest single “Take Back the Night.” He continued with some of his most notable hits like “Sexy Back” and “Senorita,” and, just when fans were beginning to think the reunion rumors were all just a hoax, four other suited men appeared on the main stage.
While the appearance from JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass was short, it certainly threw fans into a frenzy. ‘N Sync performed a medley of “Girlfriend” and “Bye Bye Bye,” while doing some of their most memorable dance moves.
Later, while accepting his award, Timberlake made sure to thank his former band mates.
“Half of the moon men that I ever won, I won with those four guys right there,” said Timberlake, pointing the other members of ‘N Sync. “I want to share this award with them. This is truly an honor. Thank you so much.”
