Moby bought this amazing place in 2008 for just under $3 million, and apparently has been leasing it out of late, so the dynamic DJ and his partner Deanna Berkeley (who heads up the super-chic Alice + Olivia fashion brand) have listed their Hollywood Hills home on the market for a shade under $3.7m.
From recollection, Moby’s album “Play” was the first album for which every track was licensed for use in commercials. A huge success internationally, the album sold in excess of 10 million copies and landed him the title gig at the biggest concert on the planet. Moby opened Teany tea shop in New York, where he could be seen playing chess with friends, has been scoring fabulous documentaries for various filmmakers, and has a new album that he’s been touring together with a series of photographs that he’s been taking from the stage.
Here’s the official word on his sweet place:
“Hollywood Regency Architecture John Elgin Woolf Reinvention. This “Old Hollywood” classic has formal living & dining rooms w/ 12 ft wood paneled ceilings, Palladian columns, parquet floors, grand French windows and patios. Media/Den w/ built-in bookcases. Gorgeously appointed & equipped, updated eat-in kitchen. Greenery frames arresting city views. Street to street lot w/ a gated motor court. Trapezoidal pool with adjacent signature JW pergola. Two car garage with adjacent guest house.”
Dare to be impressed, this 3 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom place looks like it was built to have a famous tenant, or at least someone who owns a fabulous bathrobe. Celebs.com does need a new office – take a look at the pics below and let us know whatchathink?
