Michael Buble recently recorded a song with Reese Witherspoon for his upcoming album. Buble told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show this morning that the collaboration was his manager’s idea and Witherspoon was a total pro.
“We loved ‘Walk the Line’ and her voice was so smooth and wonderful,” Bublé said. “So my manager said ‘Call her.’ And I said, ‘I don’t want to put her in that position.’ Then my wife came home and told me, ‘Mike, we’re pregnant.’ And I was so happy I was like, ‘Today’s the day, I’m going to call her.’”
In his excitement, Buble ended up telling the Oscar-winning actress his happy news.
“It felt so good to get it off my chest, and she was so cute and excited [for us],” he said.
When it came time to recording, Bublé assured Witherspoon that if they weren’t happy with the final product, they would leave it off the album. However, the crooner says Witherspoon did a great job.
“She was so prepared. In one take, she nailed it.”
Buble’s upcoming album “To Be Loved” will be released in April.
