Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B, is getting ready to return to American television as a judge on “America’s Got Talent.” She is replacing Sharon Osbourne, who chose to leave the NBC show after her son Jack was allegedly fired from another reality show on the network, “Stars Earn Stripes.” Brown will be taking over Osbourne’s judges chair for season 8.
“I’m excited!” Brown told E! Online about her new gig. “I start this weekend.”
Scary Spice is no novice to the reality talent competition world. She has spent time as a judge on ‘X Factor‘ both in the UK and Australia. On heading to America, Brown says she is looking forward to checking out the talent.
“Just seeing the talent. Seeing the really bad talent and seeing the amazing talent. It’s always going to be a fun show, that show.”
Brown will be joining Howie Mandel and Howard Stern on the judges panel. Nick Cannon will return as host of “America’s Got Talent.”
