Matthew McConaughey, Man of Many Talents

It has been revealed that Matthew McConaughey is not just a naked, pot-smoking, bongo-playing hippie; he is also a champion wrestler in Africa. Perhaps next he will reveal that his laid-back perpetual smile is actually his way of saying "I could kill you with my bare hands."

In 2000 McConaughey was traveling through Africa, where he offered to teach local boys how to box. His physical prowess led to a challenge from the local wrestling champion, Michel. McConaughey won the match and instantly became a legend. He said, "The (village) chief steps in, grabs both our hands, raised them. The crowd of about 80 screamed and cheered loudly . . . and I got pounds and pats on the back. (I learned) Michel is not only champion of this village, but he's champion of this village and four villages back." After McConaughey's victory, locals hoisted him up on a throne of gold, covered him in flowers, gave him a lavish feast, and made him their king. Oh wait, that was the plot of Garfield Goes to Ghana.

Of course, this being Matthew McConaughey, any unresolved tension was taken care of with a consciousness-altering substance. "I went back and saw him (Michel) three years later. He had four kids, blew his shoulder out. We didn't wrestle but we hung out and drank some beer." We're guessing that the weed is just a bit hard to come by in remote African villages. But this is Matthew McConaughey we're talking about. He should never have to settle for something as pedestrian as beer.
