Matt Bomer is partnering with online retailer Gilt.com for a menswear collection inspired by his character Neal Caffrey on the hit TV show, “White Collar”. Coinciding with the show’s upcoming season premiere on January 22, the Caffrey Collection, which includes a bespoke Alton Lane suit, shirt packages, ties and pocket squares designed by Bomer, will be available on Gilt.com
“Neal Caffrey’s look was the brain child of ["White Collar" creator] Jeff Eastin; he had this whole idea of the character having a fedora and his look being inspired by the Rat Pack so that’s what we worked off of for the pilot,” Bomer said. “Every season, we create a board of looks I like and draw inspiration from everything from the Rat Pack to Cary Grant and Jack Kerouac. We did Harry Belafonte when we started getting into the summer months. [For the Caffrey Collection], we basically went through the wardrobe archives and found looks we liked.”
The actor adds that the collection will have a little something for every man with designs that allow people to show off their personalities.
The Caffrey Collection is also helping a good cause — portions of sales will go to Project A.L.S., an organization dedicated to find a cure for ALS. The collection will be available starting January 22 at 12pm EST, 9am PST on Gilt.com.
