Mark Wahlberg is the latest celebrity to offer advice to Justin Bieber, whose behaviour has been more than just questionable lately. The singer has been involved in a variety of incidents, including peeing in a mop bucket at a restaurant, spitting out of a balcony toward a crowd of fans, and was recently cleared of an alleged hit and run. Walhberg says Beiber should pull his pants up and stop smoking weed.
“Justin, are you listening? Don’t be so naughty, yeah,” Wahlberg said during a web chat with British newspaper The Sun. “Be a nice boy, pull your trousers up, make your mum proud, yeah? Stop smoking all that weed, you little bastard.”
Wahlberg added: “He’s a kid! Let him live his life. He’s a teenager, obviously living in a different day and age. Everybody’s got a cell phone and paparazzi everywhere. I was in prison before I got a record out and I don’t think he’s been to prison. I don’t think he wants to go.”
However, the actor still shared a few words of wisdom with the young actor. “This career can be short-lived — you might as well be the best you can while you’re doing it, while you’re in the game. And after, if you want to go ‘F’ off, do that.”
Wahlberg revealed that he actually hopes to work with Beiber in a movie soon. The singer would play a basketball player/hustler in a film about “inner-city basketball.”
“We have a great script that … could be a vehicle for him to make his debut in movies,” Wahlberg said. “That may happen, then maybe we could do something for the soundtrack.”
