Madonna Wins UK Book Award

Madonna's foray into kiddie lit has garnered her a Blue Peter Award–very apropos since she's been turning men's peters blue for years. Zing!

We all knew Madge was a decent dancer and has a bunch of platinum records and a Golden Globe and all the crap, but now she can add "award-winning woman of letters" to her resume, or c.v., I should say, since she's English now. The Adventures of Adbi, the fourth book in her children's series, nabbed a coveted award.

The Blue Peter Award (hee! We love saying that) is an annual prize given out in the UK for excellence in children's literature. There are three categories: "The Book I Couldnít Put Down", "The Best Illustrated Book to Read Aloud", and "The Best Book with Facts". We don't know which category Madonna's book took, but since it's reportedly based on her fake celebrity version of Kabbalah, we're betting it's not the third.
