After last year’s heavily criticized Black Eyed Peas halftime show, the Super Bowl was facing a lot of heat when it came to choosing a performer for the upcoming game. After all, the NFL has a rich tradition of booking huge, huge artists: Prince, Bruce Springsteen, and Paul McCartney, just to name a few.
SBNation is reporting that Madonna has been nabbed to headline Super Bowl XLVI. The Material Girl had previously been in talks to perform the halftime show in 1998 and 2000, but the talks fell about halfway through.
But the question on everyone’s mind is: will she pull a Janet Jackson? Hard to say, but those cone bras look to be solidly engineered.
