During a recent trip to the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, Madonna shelled out some major coin to have museum staff close the building off to the public. Traveling with her son Rocco, her boyfriend Brahim Zaibat and 13 other individuals in her entourage, Madonna soaked up the Renaissance culture with a private tour.
“Madonna was very interested in the works of [Sandro] Botticelli, but also in the explanations about the paintings involving pagan and sacred myths,” said Cristina Acidini, who keeps a watch over Florence’s state-owned art. Acidini was on hand to personally take Madonna and her entourage through the museum.
We don’t know how much Madonna paid for the privilege of a private tour in the Uffizi Gallery, but the old adage no doubt applies: If you have to ask the price, you can’t afford it.
