Apparently today is the day that troubled starlets take a good long look at their lives and try to correct all of their errors. First we have Britney procuring a passel of cooch covers, and now we hear that Lindsay Lohan has been attending AA meetings. Perhaps they wanted to have a few things to add to their Good columns in their letters to Santa. On the downside, though, now Lindsay can't count on Santa covering her living room in a blanket of freshly fallen snow.
Page Six brings us this truly uplifting tale:
Lindsay Lohan is flirting with sobriety. After a hard weekend of partying with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, Lohan – who's been sporting an Alcoholics Anonymous pin – has apparently had enough. A Los Angeles spy reports seeing her yesterday at a 7:30 a.m. AA meeting near her apartment in the Sierra Towers. A friend of Lohan confirmed, "She has attended several meetings and has hopefully decided to turn her life around – this time for good. She is out of control." Lohan skipped Thanksgiving with her mom, Dina, and her family because she knew "someone would force an intervention on her." So Dina – who likes a party almost as much as her wild-child daughter – has arrived in L.A. to convince Lindsay to stay home some nights. The actress is filming "The Best Time of Our Lives" with Keira Knightley for the next five weeks – and then, friends hope "she will really get serious about getting sober. And drop out of the limelight for a while." A rep for Lohan declined comment.
We're really struggling here. Yes, we love old, Mean Girls era Lindsay, what with her shiny red hair and innocence-laden freckles and, mostly, her giant, bouncy young jugs and would love to see that Lindsay return. But we also have a soft spot for present-day, crazier-than-Mel-Gibson-in-a-kosher-deli Lindsay. But in the end we only wish Lindsay the best, and that probably means staying home once in a while to catch up on CSI, maybe watch a few Robert Altman movies on DVD, and ultimately reaching her goal to "be adequite." And if we have to go the route of OK! magazine and resort to profiles on Jennifer Love Hewitt's kitchen makeover or stories about how much Kristen Bell loves her Boston terrier, then we'll just have to live with that.
Lindsay's at her best at MrSkin.com.
