Leighton Meester is using her celebrity status to raise awareness for bone marrow transplants with the “Share the Love” DKMS Americas campaign.
In the first ad from the campaign, Meester appears alongside Kerri Mullen, a leukemia survivor who received a bone marrow donation thanks to DKMS. Designer Vera Wang created the “Share the Love” T-shirt Meester is wearing; it will be offered as a gift with every $78 purchase of Wang’s “Lovestruck” fragrance at Macy’s.
“‘Share the love’ is an altruistic idea of love,” said Meester. “It’s about giving the gift of life to a stranger.”
