Lance Bass has addressed the rumors swirling around a possible ‘NSync reunion at this weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards. Bass spoke about the speculation on his SiriusXM show “Dirty Pop With Lance Bass.” Interestingly enough, the former boy band member didn’t actually confirm or deny the rumors.
“Justin Timberlake is getting the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award this Sunday at the awards, so of course people are automatically going to think we’re going to be there performing, but this is exactly how it happened and I knew these rumors were going to fly,” he said.
Bass added that he and his former band mates Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick were in Miami last week to see Timberlake’s final Legends of the Summer show with Jay Z. After posting a photo of himself with the former Nsync members on Instagram, he says he knew the rumors would begin swirling.
“I think that’s what started the rumor that there’s going to be this big reunion with ‘NSync,” he said. “It’s amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media [and] how many people are supporting ‘NSync. It’s so nice to see because when we ended things [over] 10 years ago, there was no social media, there was no Twitter, but it’s so cute to see how many people are supporting [us], and ‘NSync was even trending.”
Everyone else seems to be staying mum on the subject. We’ll just all have to wait and see for ourselves when the 2013 MTV VMA’s take place on Sunday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
