Lana Del Rey continues her domination of major fashion magazines with the March 2012 cover of Vogue UK. The singer was captured by Mario Testino in a feminine yellow dress for the cover and a cheeky patterned romper for the pictorial.
In the accompanying interview, Del Rey revealed that one of her defining moments was seeing Nirvana’s music video for “Heart-Shaped Box” at the age of 11. “I was just floored by it, seeing Kurt Cobain as a person,” she said. “I had never seen anything like it.” Her other musical influences are Bob Dylan, Elvis and Frank Sinatra, with a smattering of Eminem and Biggie Smalls.
Lana Del Rey also revealed that she hasn’t found inspiration for a second album yet: “Oh, I don’t think I’ll write another record. What would I say? I feel like everything I wanted to say, I’ve said already.” Check out the photos from her session with Mario Testino below.
