There comes a time in every child star’s career when they have to leave their youth behind. For Fred Savage, it was Working. For Macaulay Culkin, it was Party Monster. For Leif Garrett, it was Quaaludes. And for Dakota Fanning, it’s honking Kristen Stewart‘s boob. IMDb reports that the teenager is pleased as punch to have a lesbian scene between her Cherie Currie and Stewart’s Joan Jett in the Runaways movie.
Teenager Dakota Fanning had no problems vamping it up for a lesbian scene in upcoming biopic The Runaways – because the real-life rocker she plays in the film experienced the same-sex moment.
Fanning says, “I really enjoyed doing that subject matter for the first time in a biopic, because it really happened – it’s not just a made-up story about a 15-year-old kid running wild. It’s a true story of her evolution from good Valley Girl to bad rock n’ roll princess.”
Using that logic, one has to wonder if she’d have a problem if it was fiction. She probably balked at doing that time-travel bracelet scene in Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time because it wasn’t true to life enough. “Excuse me,” she said to the director, “but there is no way in hell Kim would take an item from the naked mole rat from the future if she didn’t know who she was supposed to defeat with it. What’s her motivation in this scene? True, she wants to save Ron Stoppable from Drakken and Monkey Fist, but Kim Possible does not suffer fools gladly, and fools that are anthropomorphic moles never. “
