Over the weekend, the National Society of Film Critics named Kirsten Dunst and Brad Pitt Best Actress and Best Actor for their respective roles in “Melancholia” and “Tree of Life.”
“Melancholia” and “Tree of Life” were runaway hits at the 46th annual awards ceremony: the former film took Best Picture, while the latter film took for other awards, including Best Cinematography. Buzzed-about actress Jessica Chastain won the Best Supporting Actress award for her roles in “The Help,” “The Tree of Life” and “Take Shelter.”
This award is the latest in a string of accolades for Dunst; she was also awarded Best Actress for “Melancholia” at the Cannes International Film Festival. Do you think she has a chance at an Oscar this year?
