“The Perfect Family,” starring Kathleen Turner as the matriarch, Jason Ritter as her son and Emily Deschanel (yes, sister of Zooey) as her gay daughter, is a dysfunctional family comedy that opens this Friday, May 4 (Opposite a low-budget experiment called “The Avengers”).

Looking to tackle the counter-programming audience at the theaters, Turner and Deschanel sat down with Celebs.com’s own Angela Bakke for this candid conversation about the film and about their family lives:
