Kate Moss celebrates summertime on the June 2013 cover of Vogue UK. The model shows the world how to do summer vacation fashion right.
For the photo shoot, Moss took a trip to St. Barts to sport retro, chic and glamorous looks for the summer. And there’s no better summer setting then hopping aboard a luxurious boat owned by the editorial’s photographer, Patrick Demarchelier.
“It started with the idea of glamour and I think Kate Moss epitomizes that,” said Vogue fashion director Lucinda Chambers. ”Patrick suggested his boat and his boat is beautiful and so then it became about thinking what Kate would wear on a boat, that day-to-night thing. We wanted to capture that random thing about holidays, like holiday bags and what you have in them. I love the idea that a holiday bag is so varied, everything you love – bikinis and florals,”
Chambers added that they wanted Moss’ signature style to be seen throughout the shoot, which is where the inspiration for her hair and makeup looks came from.
