If you’re into molar memorabilia, you may want to bid on this John Lennon tooth when it goes up for auction on November 5 in London. The cavity-filled chomped was a gift from the legendary Beatle to his housekeeper, Dorothy Jarlett, for her daughter. “It is something that we felt was very personal and my mum actually gave it to my sister, who has kept it safe,” said son Barry Jarlett.
“This is the most wonderful and weird item that we have ever had for sale,” Karen Fairweather of Omega Auctions told the BBC. “We are expecting [Lennon's tooth] to achieve at least £10,000 but it is not unknown for these items as rare as this to reach six figures.
The reserve price for the John Lennon tooth is $16,000 and comes with a signed affidavit from Jarlett.
