John Cusack is enjoying his busiest year in decades, with ten+ films in various states of production in 2012.
As part of his promotions for The Raven, which had its premiere in New York less than a week ago, and in Los Angeles just a couple of nights ago (see gallery below), Cusack, now 45, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Billy Bob Thornton (“The Ice Harvest”), Kevin Spacey (“Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”), “High Fidelity” co-star Jack Black and sister Joan Cusack were among those who spoke at Cusack’s ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.
Cusack became a star in the ’80s, and a teen crush for many young girls for his portrayal of Lloyd Dobler in “Say Anything” and Bryce in “Sixteen Candles.” Goodwill that he carried over into such films as “Serendipity” with Kate Beckinsale.
Indie success came from films such as the much-loved “High Fidelity” and “Being John Malkovich” while additional credit must be given to the actor for managing to keep his personal life from the Hollywood machine.
