The sizable 7BR/8BA Beverly Hills sprawl belonging to actress, director and Academy Award-winner Jodie Foster has sold for $8.3 million.
Reduced from $9,975,000, the property features almost 5,500 sq.ft. of Cape Cod-style home-living, a tennis court, swimming pool and a 2BR guesthouse on about an acre of land up behind the Beverly Hills Hotel.
It’s reported that Foster bought the house for about $8.1m back in 2008 and didn’t really get around to completing the interior design work planned for the property.
After getting the wrong sort of attention from collaborating with Mel Gibson on “The Beaver” last year, Foster most recently starrred in Roman Polanski‘s “Carnage” with Kate Winslet, John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz.

Jodie Foster bout a $8m house? That’s insane, really, hard to take in!
Awesome actress, love her films, but my god, that’s a heck of a purchase.
Haha @ Ruth: If I was her, with her talent, money and career, I probably would have done much worst than this.
By the way, this is not a house, this an island!! It looks so peaceful, it’s a shame only rich people like this can afford a slice of that peace cake!!
Haha yes with all that water it looks like an island, and Jodie Foster could definitely afford a small island off Dubai if she wanted too.
I never saw her in The Beaver, worth hiring that on DVD?
Her professional choices aside, I really like the home. The grass around the stairs (at the entrance) looks really nice; it makes the house seem warmer and more like a home.
The pool area is interesting. The structures surrounding it are alright, but for some reason, it makes the pool feel too enclosed.
By the way, what the heck does she have to do with a tennis court? Does she play tennis so much? Haha! I sometimes don’t understand those very important people!! ;D
