Jay-Z will be releasing his highly anticipated album “Magna Carta Holy Grail” in just a few days. He has been teasing fans with what they can expect, and in the latest promo the rapper gets emotional while talking about his daughter Blue Ivy.
In the promo, Jay-Z talks about being a father without having had a good father of his own, and the many fears that come along with raising a daughter.
“It’s most obvious on the song ‘Jay Z Blue.’ And it deals with—you know, my pop left when I was young, so he didn’t teach me how to be a man nor how to raise a child or treat a woman,” he said. So, of course, my karma, the two things I needed I don’t have, right?”
Jay-Z then pauses, seemingly overcome with emotion, before adding: “It’s the paranoia of not being a great dad.”
“Magna Carta Holy Grail” is being released to Samsung Galaxy users tomorrow and to the rest of the world on July 7. Check out the promo below.
