Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t afraid to speak the truth to her fans. In an exceptionally personal post on her Facebook page last Wednesday, the actress reflected on her life and the lessons she’s learned thus far.
“What I learned about myself is this, when I was younger I was not a good problem solver, meaning I had a very difficult time with dealing with my problems in life,” the post read in part. “I had many addictions, of several kinds, to deal with my life issues, but today, at 42, I have my wisdom, my heart and my conscience as the only tools to overcome life’s inevitable obstacles.”
Pinkett Smith goes on to hail herself as a good problem-solver at 42, and expresses pride and gratitude for this progression.
