Pro cyclist Lance Armstrong recently admitted to Oprah and the rest of the world that he used performance-enhancing drugs throughout his athletic career, and J.J. Abrams has announced that he will produce a biopic with Paramount Pictures on Armstrong’s life.
The film will be based on “Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong” by Juliet Macur, a sportswriter who has covered Armstrong since his cancer recovery. Her book will be published by HarperCollins in June.
Armstrong’s confession to Oprah aired on Thursday night and drew some 3.2 million viewers. We’ll hear more from the cyclist tonight when Part 2 airs on OWN.
