The “Inside Llewyn Davis” team has announced a benefit concert. Writers and directors of the film, Joel and Ethan Coen, music producer T Bone Burnett and producer Scott Rudin are hosting the benefit, titled “Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of ‘Inside Llewyn Davis.’
The concert is inspired by the music scene depicted in the film — Greenwich Village folk music in the 1960s. A portion of the proceeds from the show will be going to the National Recording Preservation Foundation.
A slew of performers have already been announced for the benefit. The Avett Brothers, Milk Carton Kids, Marcus Mumford, and Jack White are scheduled to perform. The movie’s stars, Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman and Stark Sands will also perform at the benefit.
The “Another Day, Another Time” benefit will take place on September 29 at Town Hall in New York City.
“Inside Llewyn Davis,” which also stars Garrett Hedlund and Justin Timberlake, will hit theaters on December 6. Tickets for the benefit concert go on sale to the general public on August 21 on Ticketmaster.
