“I’m going to be Piers on steroids,” said Stern on his radio show. “I’m going to be a no-nonsense judge. I’m going to go there as a serious judge. I am very excited.”
“America’s Got Talent” will move its live-show production to New York City when the seventh season begins taping in February, enabling Stern to continue his radio show.
Paul Telegdy, a programming executive at NBC, had nothing but nice things to say about the show’s newest judge. “Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to ‘America’s Got Talent,’ starting this summer. He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.”
