We reported earlier this week that Jimmy Fallon might be replacing Jay Leno as the host of the “Tonight Show,” which leaves an opening for Fallon’s current spot on “Late Night.” Now, new reports are swirling that Howard Stern is being considered for the position.
Stern has tried more than once to become a television personality, but the material he presents on his radio show a was just too much for TV. However, he recently joined the judge’s panel of “America’s Got Talent,” which seems to be working out well for the radio host. So, maybe heading to “Late Night” is the logical next step for Stern’s career.
Stern’s wife Beth reacted to the rumour without actually confirming or denying the news.
“I always thought Howard and late night TV would be a perfect fit. But, then again, I think everything Howard does is perfect,” she said. “I’m personally not looking for him to take on yet another job. With his ‘AGT’ schedule and his morning radio show, I need more Howard at home!”
Do you think Stern belongs on the late night docket?
