We think that maybe there are sinister forces at work in the universe. We always hear stories about beautiful people trying and trying and getting desperate to have babies and then turning to scientists to make all of the elements come together as they should to produce genetically perfect (twin) babies. It seems so difficult. Yet that girl you knew in high school who went to juvie about eight times? She’s been steadily cranking them out since at least 1994 with no problems. It’s like the universe wants the human race to devolve into a species of degenerate mole people with really bad hygiene. Well, score one for the pretty people, because Halle Berry is knocked up again. Says Life & Style:
“Halle is overjoyed,” says an insider close to Halle and the baby’s father, model Gabriel Aubry. “The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination.”
“She’s just ecstatic to be pregnant again,” the insider tells Life & Style. “She wasn’t sure if she’d have another baby, so she’s very happy!”
Sometimes we read these reports and think, “Gee, really? She was happy? Ecstatic? Over the moon? Can’t we ever hear about a preggo celeb saying, ‘Yeah, it’s OK I guess. I’ll probably learn to love it’?” But then we remember Kourtney Kardashian telling us that her baby-to-be was only a couple of inches away from a Planned Parenthood trash can and rethink our cynicism.

Well, this is welcome news. At least she wants to have a family and from what I’m hearing, she’s doing okay. My congraluations and best wishes to Ms. Berry.
