After perusing this year’s Golden Globes gifting lounges, one thing is for sure — there’s no excuse for dehydrated skin in tinseltown. Fancy water, firming skin serums and other glow-inducing products abound in our Celebs.com survey of the 2013 Golden Globes gifting suites.
Kari Feinstein Style Lounge
Perched atop the W Hollywood’s swanky spiral staircase, the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge gifted stars with over $5k of swag, from Miami’s Surfcomber Hotel stays to Mary Kay cosmetics.
Remember what I said about skincare products and copious beverages? The trend continued here at the Feinstein and Mekhi Phifer, Alan Cumming and Jamie Pressly all enjoyed Tea of a Kind, an infused tea drink of choice for other celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow.
By mid-day, the lounge was abuzz with celebs, some more interested in shoes and jewelry than the bevvy of beauty products. We caught TV personality Ali Fedotowsky munching on G.H. Cretor’s mind-blowing cheddar and caramel popcorn (a must try!) before selecting some red-carpet-ready frocks from Adrianna Papell and Aidan Mattox. Fellow “Bachelorette” alum Emily Maynard chose to adorn her bronzed arms with pieces from Loud Love Jewelry.
Our favorite? Artisan soles from shoe designer Taylor Says. Renee Olstead (“Secret Life of the American Teenager”) and Vanessa Lengies (“Glee”) couldn’t resist the allure of these limited edition kicks and each left the suite a pair of platforms richer.
GBK Productions Golden Globes Gifting Lounge
Three stories of swag. Yep, three floors of swanky celeb bait inside L’Ermitage Hotel at GBK Productions’ Golden Globes gifting suite.
From the rooftop down, trend-setting stars had their pick of fashion-forward accouterment. “Guys with Kids” actresses Tempestt Bledsoe and Erinn Hayes (“Worst Week”) slipped into sky-high metallic footwear from Ron Donovan Shoes while ‘Argo’ star Titus Welliver browsed Donovan’s men’s offerings. And for those post-awards season sunny getaways, BeachCandy gifted custom swimwear, ensuring all starlets are Cabo-ready.
The GBK suite pampered the celebrity palate unlike any other. Golden Globe nominee Jeff Daniels and his “Newsroom” co-star Allison Pill filled up on good eats from Vita Organic Foods while “Revolution” star Giancarlo Esposito sipped Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from Newman’s Own. We also caught up with funny man Anthony Anderson, who sampled bacon-flavored fish eggs from California Caviar.
But the ultimate takeaway from this super lux suite? Bread Basket Bakery’s dangerously decadent chocolates. The red velvet truffle was nothing short of life-changing!
DPA Group Penthouse Gifting Suite
The DPA Group imported luxury offerings from across the globe, bringing an international flair to this gifting oasis at the Luxe Hotel on Rodeo.
While sampling scented oils from Spain’s unisex beauty label The Lab Room, a favorite of Spanish stunners like Penelope Cruz, we crossed paths with “Homeland” star Jackson Pace. Like other stars, he was trying out new looks and possibilities (in particular – neckwear from Finland’s gTIE, whose reindeer leather neckties are the male equivalent of a statement necklace). Also in attendance was ‘Flight’ star Don Cheadle, taking his pick of the season’s freshest frames from Calvin Klein.
Though not deviating far from the trend of skincare products and excessive hydration, the primary thrust of the DPA gifting suite was to dress and adorn celebs for the Globes. On offer was everything from the fabulous crystal baubles of Norway’s Cecilie Melli to Sherri Hill’s radiant frocks, a favorite of young celebs like Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner.
And for those not having to worry about their close-ups, there were always the edibles. Bite Me Gourmet made a lasting impression with creamy cinnamon sugar éclairs.
Secret Room Events Red Carpet Style Lounge
Tucked within the swanky SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, the Secret Room lounge eased awards season nerves, providing facials, massages and mid-day cocktails.
Guests at this massive style suite had their hands full, balancing gift bags overflowing with Mediel’s Asian beauty secrets, Dermaesthetics sunflower-infused hydra-gel and Eternna Bella’s all natural day cream. We may have just found the secret to Hollywood’s fountain of youth.
High-profile mommies were targeted in no small way at the SLS this weekend. The ballroom lounge sent expecting starlets away with their own bundles of joy, stocked with Shoosha’s stretch mark oil, Mamalicious protein powder and Teafco Argo baby bags.
Our favorite souvenir? Hair bling from France Luxe headbands, as seen crowning Blair Waldorf’s head on “Gossip Girl” (and, okay, maybe on Ed Westwick, too).
Suffice it to say that between the food, fluids and facial products, this Celebs.com’er finished the day well-hydrated.
