“Haywire” star Gina Carano is seriously entertaining the thought of a second career in acting.
“This was an incredible experience, and I think I can do a lot more, and now I understand how it goes a little bit,” the mixed-martial arts fighter told reporters at the Berlin Film Festival. “I’d be lying if I said I never wanted to [do] this again. It was a dream, I can’t support myself in fight forever and I know that, so maybe I can get something else going here.”
Carano, who performed all her own stunts in “Haywire,” also indicated that the rush of fighting on film is far different than what she experiences fighting in real life. “It’s a more prolonged adrenaline than, say, fighting, which is a lot more harsh,” she explained. “You have to get it right on the first take in fighting.”
Are you behind Carano’s transition to film, or should she stick to real-life fighting?
