Fall Out Boy is back! The band has reunited to celebrate their ten year anniversary with a new single, a new album and a tour. Fall Out Boy made the announcement last night by releasing their new single, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark,” which is already available on iTunes.
“This isn’t a reunion because we never broke up,” the group said in a statement. “We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.”
Fall Out Boy hasn’t released an album since 2008, making music fans speculate that the band was done for good. During their time spent apart, lead singer Patrick Stump released his own solo project called “Soul Punk.” Meanwhile, bassist and songwriter, Pete Wentz, developed an electro-pop band called Black Cards.
Fall Out Boy’s new album, “Save Rock and Roll,” will be released on May 7. The band will also be embarking on a tour, starting on May 14 in Milwaukee and ending on June 30 in Nashville. Check out the band’s new single below!
